Let the agent set reminders, events and message drafts through your iPhone
The agent can set a reminder, add a calendar event or draft a message. Each time with your permission.
Tell the agent “remind me tomorrow at 10 to call the bank” or “add a meeting on Friday at 3 pm”. It calls the right tool itself, and you only confirm.
What the agent can do
- Reminders and calendar. Create and read. If the iPhone is offline, the Mac does it, and the entry reaches the phone through iCloud.
- Contacts, location, Health. Only from the iPhone, with the app open. Health is read-only: steps, sleep, heart rate, workouts and more.
- Notes. Writes to Notes on the Mac.
- Message, email, map. The agent prepares an SMS, an email or a route and opens it on the phone. You send it yourself.
Step by step: the first time
- After pairing, the iPhone shows a list of tools with switches.
- Keep the ones you want on and tap allow. The iPhone asks for iOS permissions, and the Mac opens its own permission prompts in advance.
- If you choose not now, the agent will ask you on every call.
Step by step: answering the agent
- The agent calls a tool. A window appears on both the iPhone and the Mac: the session “wants to use” the tool from your phone.
- Choose “Allow once”, “Always allow” or “Decline”.
- Answer on one device, and the window on the other closes by itself.
Good to know
- No answer within 3 minutes counts as a refusal.
- “Always allow” is set per tool: on the Mac in “Agent tools”, the “From your phone” group; on the iPhone in the permissions screen.
- iOS does not tell apps whether you allowed Health reading. If there is no data, check access in the iPhone’s Settings.
- Location is only available while the app is open.
