Talk to an agent without leaving traces on your Mac

A session that stays out of your history and is erased from your Mac and iPhone when you close it.

What incognito gives you

  • The session stays out of the session list and history.
  • The agent neither reads nor adds to its memory.
  • When closed, Hedoq erases the conversation and files from your Mac and iPhone.

Incognito is available for Claude with a subscription and for Codex.

Step by step on the Mac

  1. Press ⌘N.
  2. Pick Claude or Codex as the agent.
  3. Turn on “Incognito”. The “Project” row hides: the session gets a temporary folder.
  4. Click “Create”.
  5. The sidebar slides away, and the toolbar shows “Incognito” with a cross. Until you send something, a card in the middle explains how it works.
  6. Work as usual.
  7. To close, click the cross in the toolbar or go to any other view. The conversation is erased.

On iPhone

At the bottom of the sidebar, next to the new session button, there is a round button with glasses. One tap starts an incognito session with Claude, or with Codex if Claude is not there. Switch to another session and the incognito one closes.

When it helps

  • You need to go through someone else’s data or a personal question, and nothing should stay on the Mac.
  • You want a clean-slate answer, so the agent does not lean on what it remembers about the project.
  • You are showing Hedoq to someone and do not want to clutter your session list.

Good to know

  • Anthropic and OpenAI keep the conversation under their own rules. Incognito erases traces on your Mac and iPhone, not at the model provider.
  • You cannot step away and come back: leaving closes the session.
  • An incognito session opened from the phone is not shown on the Mac and does not close there on its own. The phone closes it itself.
  • If Hedoq quit before erasing, it finishes the cleanup on the next launch.
