See limits and sessions in the Dynamic Island and on the Lock Screen
Minimize the app and Hedoq stays in sight: limits and sessions in the island and on the Lock Screen.
Step by step
- Open the Hedoq settings on your iPhone.
- Turn on the switch that shows Hedoq in the island.
- Minimize the app.
What you see
- In the Dynamic Island: the tightest limit as a percentage, and how many sessions are working and how many are done. A long press opens the details.
- On the Lock Screen: limits with the time to reset, and sessions with their state: working, question, done, waiting.
- If the island is shared with another app, Hedoq shows its logo.
How to read the icons
- A yellow dot with a number: that many sessions are working right now.
- A green dot with a number: that many sessions finished their turn and are waiting for you.
- The percentage: what is left of the tightest subscription window. When little is left, the number changes color.
- Each session on the Lock Screen is labeled working (with a timer), question, done, waiting or asleep.
The Home Screen widget
- Touch and hold an empty spot on the Home Screen, then tap Edit and Add Widget.
- Find Hedoq and pick a size: small, wide or large.
- The widget shows limits and sessions. Tap a session to open it in the app.
Good to know
- The island gets fresh data while the app is open. After you minimize it, it shows the last known state, and after a minute it honestly says it is offline instead of showing a frozen timer.
- iOS refreshes the widget itself, usually every 15-30 minutes.
- When offline, the Hedoq logo in the island is dimmed.
- For the widget, the Mac sends the relay server a short summary: the Mac’s name, limits, session names and states. More in privacy.
