Why voice works better
A good task for an agent is a few sentences: what to do, what to leave alone, how to check. Saying it is faster than typing it, and you are less likely to skip something important.
How to dictate
- Press ⌘. or the microphone in the input field.
- Speak.
- Press ⌘. again: the text lands in the field but is not sent.
- Fix it if needed and send.
Esc cancels the whole recording.
Terms and names
Project, library and people names are recognised better when you hint them. Add them to the voice vocabulary exactly as they should be written.
Answers read aloud
The wave button in the input field turns on the session’s voice mode: when the agent finishes its turn, Hedoq reads the answer aloud. Handy when you step away from the screen. The voices run on your Mac, without the cloud.
Questions
Does dictation need the internet?
No, once the voice package is downloaded. It installs once and takes about 2 GB.
Can I mix languages?
Yes. You do not set a language, and English terms inside a Russian sentence are recognised too.
Can I dictate outside Hedoq?
Yes. Turn on "Dictation in every app" and the same shortcut works in mail, messengers and notes.
