Read the feed and answer the agent's questions
The feed shows your conversation with the agent like a chat: replies, steps and questions as buttons.
Claude Code and Codex sessions have a feed. A regular terminal stays alive underneath; the “Feed | Terminal” switch sits under the message field on the right. The choice applies to every tab.
What you see in the feed
- Your messages as bubbles, the agent’s replies with formatting.
- The model’s reasoning in gray.
- Agent steps folded into one summary line that counts commands run and files read. Click to expand.
- Images as thumbnails. Click to open a zoomable viewer.
- A gray line under each reply: duration, time and tokens. While a turn runs: “Working” with a timer.
- “Helpers: N of M working” when the agent starts helpers (subagents). Each one shows whether it is running, done or failed. At the end the line says “Helpers finished”.
Step by step: answer the agent
- The agent asks a question with options: the feed shows a card with buttons. Click the one you want.
- Several questions at once: pick your answers and click “Answer”.
- The agent asks for permission: a card with “Allow” and “Deny”.
- Your choice replaces the buttons, and the agent goes on.
If a question has no card, click “Answer in the terminal” or switch to “Terminal”.
The message field
- Enter sends. ⇧Enter adds a new line.
- Esc stops the turn. While the agent works and the field is empty, the send button turns into “Stop”.
- ↑ in an empty field brings back your earlier messages.
- ”+” attaches files, ⚡ opens Hedoq commands, the model chip switches the model.
The /clear line
After /clear or “Refresh session” the agent starts a new conversation. The previous one stays in the feed above a line that reads “/clear · time · context cleared, the agent does not remember what is above”. When the agent compacts its own context, a purple label shows it.
Good to know
- Hedoq keeps no copy of the conversation. The feed reads the agent’s own file.
- If you scroll up, the feed does not jump to new output. Scroll back down or click ”↓”.
- When a turn ends, the feed lands on the start of the reply, so a long answer reads from the top.
- By default “Terminal” shows an event log, not the Claude Code screen. You get the agent’s own screen if you turn off “Structured mode” in Settings (applies to new sessions).
If something does not work
The hint “The message did not reach Claude. It is back in the field: send it again” means exactly that. Press Enter once more.
