Claude Code in the Claude app is a good choice if Claude is the only agent you use. Hedoq is for when you have several: Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, OpenCode or your own models through Ollama and LM Studio.

When to pick Hedoq

  • You pay for several subscriptions. Hedoq shows the limits of every connected service by the notch. In automations, when an agent runs out of limit, Hedoq hands the task to another agent.
  • You want agents from different companies to work together: a council of models under a lead session, one session handing a task to another.
  • You give tasks by voice. Hedoq recognizes speech on your Mac, and the audio never leaves it.
  • You want the Mac to keep working with the lid closed: turn on “Stay awake with the lid closed”. Meeting notes with a summary come in handy too.

When the Claude app is the better fit

  • You’re on Windows or Linux. Hedoq exists only for Mac and iPhone.
  • You want cloud sessions and tasks that run on Anthropic’s machines while your computer is off, without setting up your own server.
  • You only use Claude and one agent is enough: the Claude app has plenty of its own features, such as watching pull request checks.

How to switch

  1. Download Hedoq for Mac. Claude Code runs there with your Claude subscription. If Claude Code isn’t installed, Hedoq offers to install it in one click.
  2. Open the same project folder and start a Claude Code session.
  3. Connect your other services with ”+” in the Notch to see their limits side by side.
